Kota Yogyakarta dikenal dengan moto “Jogja Istimewa”, yang bagi sineas hingga kini masih mencari identitas di tengah lajunya modernitas yang sedemikian hebat untuk mempertahankan tradisi dan budayanya. Tradisi pasar malam yang hadir di filmnya berlokasi di Alun-Alun Utara persis di depan bangunan Kesultanan Ngayogyakarta.

A boy visits the night fair festival in his town at the last show before closing. This short film is also a metaphor from the City of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Yogyakarta (Jogja) is a special city that is titled “special region” which until now is still struggling to find its identity in the midst of such a rapid flow of modernization and its efforts to maintain its culture and traditions. The night fair tradition that appears in this film, known “Sekaten” is located right in front of Yogyakarta’s king palace which is hundreds of years old.

Childhood leaves beautiful memories for human. The world from children’s view is innocent as a child’s heart and everything looks as pure as they are. This film project also the filmmaker’s anxiety about his hometown which is now beginning to fade due to such great modernization.

Himawan Pratista adalah seorang kritikus film yang juga pembuat film independen, penulis naskah, editor serta pengajar film di akademi film di Kota Yogyakarta. Ia mengajar film sejak tahun 2003 serta pula menulis beberapa buku teori film. Pada tahun 2006, ia adalah satu dari pendiri Komunitas Film Montase yang meraih predikat Komunitas Film Terbaik di Indonesia dalam ajang Apresiasi Film Indonesia tahun 2015. Ia selalu terlibat dalam produksi film pendek Montase dan sebagian besar di antaranya meraih prestasi, baik lokal maupun internasional. Himawan Pratista is a film critics who is also an independent director, scriptwriter, editor, and a lecturer at film academy in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. He has been teaching film since 2003, and also has written several books about film. In 2006, he was one of the founders of Montase Film Community, that has won best film community award in 2015 (montase.org). He was involved in all Montase production shorts and most of the films have achieved good results both from local and international film festival.
